Best gift you have ever received?
The best gift I have ever received was my first journal, that's where I wrote all my first songs.


Worst gift?
The worst gift I have ever received was a Furby. They scare me still.

Said Furby was given to her by her brother, Martin.


What are the top three things on your wish list?
The top three things on my dream gift list are: a car (specifically the Aston Martin Vantage, hehe), a Dashing Diva gift card (I LOVE Manicures!), or a Target gift card because Target RULES!

For manicures, she loves Chanel, Essie and OPI nail polishes in hot pink or deep red. Essie’s “Wicked” is one of her faves.


Which one would you be most likely to receive?
Everyone knows I love Target and Dashing Diva, so probably the gift cards.  Oh yeah, and cars are pretty expensive.

She turned 21 March 5, 2009, and she did indeed receive a Dashing Diva gift card, along with a tiara, a cake shaped like a dollar sign and tons of clothes.


What was the last gift you have given?
The last gift I gave was a housewarming gift: a fig candle for my friend’s new apartment.


What was the last gift you have received?
The last gift I received was an iPod Nano.

We’re guessing her iPod will be full of Blondie, The Clash, Police, Queen and Bob Marley—her favorite musicians.


What’s the most embarrassing gift you have given or received?
My first boyfriend was an awful gift giver. For my 16th birthday he got me a furry, hot pink purse with holes in it (clearly bad vintage).  I thought he was insane. We broke up two weeks later….and then he came out of the closet.


Can you provide some best gifting advice?
If you know the person, you know what gift to get them. If you do not know them well, stick to neutral gifts, like gift cards!

She likes to give gift cards from online retailers like Blufly.com, Shopbop.com and Overstock.com


You recently attended the 2009 Grammys—anything good in the gift bag of note?
There were a lot of gift goodies in the Grammy bags! At Music Cares, I got the movie Juno (one of my faves), some Bedhead products and Spanx! I love Spanx now!

In addition to scoring some Spanx, she also got to meet Akon and Lil’ Wayne at the Grammys.
